NHSCA (Virginia Beach)
Although a folkstyle event, this is an important, prestigious, and storied tournament that numerous New Mexico wrestlers have attended. Held in the post-season at the end of March/early April, this is a throwdown! Initially started to highlight Seniors (and only those that wrestled in the state finals), the NHSCA National Championships is now open to anyone without any qualifying requirement and includes five divisions: Senior, Junior, Sophomore, Freshman, and Middle School. New Mexico has the most All-Americans from the Senior division because of the longevity of the Senior Nationals event coupled with solid showings from phenomenal competitors over the past three decades. The remaining divisions have been slowly added over the years, but NM kids continue to challenge themselves by entering the mix. Those divisions will soon have even more names with New Mexico AA's, just give it time.
Who will be the next NHSCA All-American and National Champion from New Mexico?!?
